"I knew when the club was founded that my time as coach was meant to be nothing more than a place-holder for someone to devote their time to leading the men into battle, and training them up to the standards that we've set in place. I love coaching immensely, but this club exists to develop men as players and coaches," Harris said. "Coach Bowler is exactly the kind of person we've been looking for to continue building this program. Our personalities aren't exactly similar, but our standards and goals are in lock-step. I expect the same thing from Coach Bowler that I demand from myself and the players--excellence."
When asked why Coach Bowler chose Woodland FC to be his coaching home, he said, "It's really just the culture that has already been established. Everyone really looks forward to building what they had. I don't like to be micromanaged, but enjoy bouncing ideas off my players, and receiving feedback, and being creative. Ross trusts his people to do their jobs, and that's very freeing."
Will Bowler played collegiately at Rockhurst University, Sunflower State Football Club, and has coached at Rockhurst High School, and Olathe East High School where he teaches. He also owns his own personal soccer training business where he trains and prepares high school kids for club and collegiate soccer.
